1 -How do I apply for employment?
Applications will only be accepted for open positions. To be considered for employment, the application must be completed in its entirety, signed by the applicant and the position for which you are applying specified. All positions require an application. A resume is optional. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
2- How do I obtain an application?
An application can be downloaded from the employment section of our website by clicking HERE or one can be picked up at Village Hall.
3 -Do I need to complete an application for each position I am applying for?
A separate application must be submitted for each vacancy. Photocopies will be accepted.
4 -Where and when do I turn in my application?
Applications must be received by the Human Resource Department prior to the closing time and date specified in the posting. Human Resources is located at 1050 Royal Palm Beach Blvd in Village Hall. FAXED or ELEXTRONIC APPLICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
5 -How long is my application kept on file?
All applications become inactive once the position has been filled.
6 -What is the hiring process?
Applications must meet the minimum requirements and have the application completed in its entirety. The applications that pass the screening are passed on to the Department Head or a Supervisor of the department that has the open position. The Department will set up interviews with the most qualified applicants. No notice will be sent to those not selected for interview.
After the most qualified applicants are interviewed, they may be asked to fill out a release so we can run a background check. After the background checks are completed the applicant who has been chosen will be notified and be set up for a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
7 -How do I claim Veteran's Preference?
If you are claiming Veteran's Preference fill out that section of the application.
8 -Who is eligible to work for the Village of Royal Palm Beach?
The Village of Royal Palm Beach will only hire US citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers.
